Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work* and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself
It's gone well! In the rehearsal we went over act two scene 5, my first scene. Where already in the first ten minutes we had removed and changed a line. We removed my line "You have a fine day to make your walk, Bon Voyage, Mademoiselle." As it didn't make sense for me to walk in, only to walk out and back in again seconds later, It'd look far too awkward on stage. However, thanks to these edits, I now only have to stand at the side of the curtain, awaiting my main queue line, before I walk on stage with a Parcel, talking to Jo about it.
For the scene I made sure to keep my hands behind my back, and my posture straight, yet also stay talkative with my hands and be more open than reclused. I did this because whilst etiquette would still be present abroad, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as used in Europe, as well with how I feel Bhaers personality would be. To me, he feels like an open, ambitious and excitable person, I feel like whilst he's poor he'd still try and stand to the clothing attire needed for gentlemen, I feel like he'd wear the usual suit trousers and shirt, but Instead of a suit jacket, I feel like he'd wear a waistcoat, as he wouldn't be able to afford otherwise, and instead of doing what the high society would do, he instead dove into books, and became a professor that way, through his love of books and his interest in stories.
I've also started the progress on marketing the show, taking photos, videos of scenes, and posting them both on Instagram, and to several teams chats, spreading the materials around. Soon I'll also be working on and finishing a video for marketing, spreading etiquette to use on the colleges Instagram page.
