09/05/23 Little Women Cast List

Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work* and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself

The cast list was released not too long ago, now whilst I didn't get Laurie, I did however get Professor Freidrich, Jo's German Professor and the man she marries at the end.

Alongside the cast list, the script has also changed, with plenty of lines added in, for my character and others, and the ending has changed, with it being the extract I used for the chemistry tests, where the professor kisses Jo. However because I'm uncomfortable actually kissing, I'm able to lower the umbrella in front of our faces so that it looks real but we're not actually kissing. This way I'm comfortable acting it, instead of being severely uncomfortable and doing it, as I don't want to compromise my acting of it.

With this role I have several challenges, I have to speak both German and french, which is quite the task itself, but so far so good, I've nearly learnt the first scene I'm in, I struggle a little because I have to maintain the german accent, and be able to speak a different language, so I'm struggling slightly but I'm sure I'll be alright!

I'm very excited for the show, I'm sure it'll go exceptionally well and I'm confident in everyones ability to pull it off.

For the films I've auditioned for:

I've gotten the role of Manager in Bailey's film, which is reminiscent of Michael Scott and I've been told by several people I do give off Michael Scott energy so It'd seem like I'm a perfect fit.

In Martins Film, I've gotten the role of the Masked Man, the main antagonist, who's reminiscent of The Riddler from the recent The Batman movie, I've always enjoyed playing Antagonists and It'll be really fun to be able to act as a villain with an underrated background.
