Unit 9 Task One Production Role

My Production Role in the Wizard of Oz was marketing or social media. For every Production, I enjoy going for marketing, as I know several people who can share promotional material. From posting on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and direct messaging people about the show, marketing isn't a production role to be looked down upon, without it, the shows wouldn't sell anything, or at least not much. Within my role, I've taken photos and videos to upload to my accounts and asked people I know to share it on their stories and accounts to try and keep the traction of the show-up, I include the show dates and where to go to see the production so that questions are minimized, and the ticket sales are increased. However, so that the algorithm of these apps doesn't block out the posts, you have to regularly post them.

I believe with my production role I was fairly successful, I've managed to sell tickets to some people including some friends I had in secondary school, however, I also could've worked on more consistent posts, as while I did post when I did I'd post several at a time, and then I wouldn't for a short while, instead of the daily posts I believe would've worked better. Overall, I think I did well with marketing, I posted semi-regularly, included necessary information on the production and got people to buy tickets, I'd even say it was a little, productive.
