Blood Brothers Task Two Character Research

 In the Blood Brothers performance, I play the narrator role, a sort of metaphor for the Devil. How he stalks the Johnstons and Mrs Lyons. I try and show this by staying around when Mrs Lyons and Mrs Johnston are speaking together, such as when they make the pact to give one of the twins away. I researched a little about how Actors portray the devil for the role. For example, I watched some clips from the tv series, Supernatural, and how the Devil, Lucifer, is portrayed in it. Mark Pelligrino plays Lucifer as someone who is sly, conniving and sneaky yet also funny in some ways. It's not funny as in a comedy act but rather the fact that he makes fun of things points out the obvious and layers things he says with sarcasm. Yet as expected of the devil, he has his own cluster of misdeeds
, such as to become physical, he manipulated an ordinary person by massacring their entire family to get them to let him possess them, which worked. 

I also watched "Lucifer" which is a TV Series about the Devil portrayed by Tom Ellis. He portrays his version of the devil as Charming, funny yet also interested in Humanity. You actually cheer him on throughout the show as he gains what you could call "Humanity" he learns what It's like to be human and that's why you're happy to see him go from someone who should be Evil and dangerous, to someone who's actually very human and this shows through the amazing character development through the seasons in the show. 

With my Portrayal of "Devil", I've taken inspiration from both. Using the Generic Evil and Cunningness of Supernatural's Devil, to the black suit and Defining stares of Lucifer's Devil. 

I've contributed to the show by promoting the show dates on social media, recorded rehearsals and posted them in the team chat for blog posts of the people in them and taken photos of rehearsals for people to post on their social media and for the show's promotion and to help with marketing.
