 Fort the past week, we've been rehearsing many different scenes. Today was the first time we did a "tech run" of sorts. We did a rehearsal up to scene 7, the invention room. I'm off stage by scene 5. I'm miss gloop in every show apart from Wednesday 4pm show, which will be Dylan, in that show, I'm an Oompa Loompa doing the Augustus gloop dance and song, from when he falls into the river and miss gloop is escorted out. I've been able to make the scenes I'm in with miss Gloop memorable by adding in my own bits and giving it to the best of my ability. Because we were doing a tech run, I wanted to wear my costume considering I had it with me. It consists of a green dress with small flowers scattered all over it, a green shirt to wear underneath and black shorts to wear underneath the dress, I also have sparkly sandals, that while don't actually fit my
feet, they do fit the character. I'm quite excited for the show, we have one more tech run on Monday, and then the rest of the week apart from Friday will be our show days. Tuesday is 7pm, Wednesday is 4pm and 7pm, and Thursday is just 7pm, then the shows are over. I'll be playing an Oompa Loompa during Wednesdays 4pm show. Dylan has been gone for nearly 2-3 weeks, and I'm sure he will be great at the performance, but I'm slightly worried as to if he knows what to do and if he'll learn in time. As it took me quite a while to learn all the correct Oompa Loompa movements, I was originally going to be doing the Mike Teevee dance and song, but I was moved this week to Augustus'. I'm much more confident in Augustus' dance compared to how I was with Mike's. But overall I am very excited to perform for the show, I'm confident I'll get laughs, with how I play Miss Gloop, or at least I'm hoping so, as I do love playing comedic roles and knowing that I've made someone laugh and smile.
